Community Outreach - A Visit to the Dominica Infirmary
At Orion Academy, our mission is to develop every student holistically. This includes teaching our students to care for the elderly and those who are underprivileged amongst us.
During the final school term, we visited the residents at the Dominica Infirmary. They were very happy to see us and the students were equally pleased to be able to put a smile on the faces of those in residence.
On our final visit there, the students generously presented gifts to the residents, a gesture that was deeply appreciated.
In addition, the students entertained them through song and musical performances; words could not describe the heartfelt appreciation shown in the eyes of the number of elderly men and women there.
We look forward to a continued relationship with the Dominica Infirmary in the new school year and beyond.
